About Our Pewter

Hundreds of years ago, man was already using pewter in the same way as silver to create utensils and precious ornamental objects. Many reproductions of historic pewter objects are in existence, but we don't believe that there are any collections as refined and expertly crafted as the beautiful pieces we have for sale here.

Our collection of around 1000 pieces is a true reflection of the pewter designs which evolved in Europe throughout the centuries. It is made in much the same way as it has always been, using excellent quality alloys and staying true to traditional craftsmanship.

Whether it's our 'Traditional' finish, a classic mellow grey finish or our 'Bright' polished finish, both add distinct character to this gorgeous series. Marks of ageing, which would have occurred naturally over the years, are painstakingly reproduced and this great attention to detail and level of care during production ensures that the items looks as if they have literally been there for hundreds of years. Whether you use it in a contemporary or classic setting, the strong presence of our collection will add immediate and unique luxury and style to your home.

Our collection is handcrafted in small quantities by two small Italian companies which have been manufacturing pewter items for well over 50 years. The excellent quality lead-free alloy used for production contains tin (95%), antimony (4-5%) and copper (0.5%), and complies with all EU and USA requirements for culinary use. The registered trademarks impressed on each item guarantee consistently high quality standards in production and design.

Not suitable for cleaning in dishwashers. Clean with warm soapy water only and polish with a soft cloth. General cleaning is however rarely necessary, as tarnishing does not readily occur.
